The Transgaumaise hike is a splendid 148 km loop that takes you through the Gaume region, also known as the “Little Belgian Provence” thanks to its sunny microclimate. It takes you on nature trails through some of the most beautiful villages in Belgian Lorraine, such as Torgny. You pass through France and discover some of the region’s treasures, such as the Notre-Dame d’Avioth basilica, before immersing yourself in the heart of the Semois valley.<\/p>\n
The trip begins in the heart of the Gaume region, in a small village near Virton (Belgium). You hike at your own pace and in total freedom on the 6 stages of this 148 km loop. Stop off along the way to visit the Montm\u00e9dy citadel, the Avioth church or the Renaissance houses in the village of Marville. Enjoy one of the world’s best beers with cheese after your visit to Orval Abbey.<\/p>\n
