Stay in a Gite perfect for families! Hike in complete freedom in the heart of one of the most beautiful forests in Europe. You will stay in the Europ'Aventure gite ideally located in Saint-Hubert, a few minutes from the shops and the start of the hikes.

During this stay, you will discover the Great Forest of Saint-Hubert, land of deer, forests and legends, a destination not to be missed for a nature and discovery stay. The Great Forest of Saint-Hubert covers 100,000 hectares, more than half of which is covered by forests! There are 8 municipalities: Wellin, Tellin, Libin, Libramont-Chevigny, Saint-Hubert, Tenneville, Nassogne and Sainte-Ode. You will have the opportunity to do different hikes or bike rides but also to visit the charming town of Saint-Hubert and its famous basilica.

You will stay in our Europ’Aventure gite which welcomes walkers and families up to 5 people. This small house consists on the first floor of a living room, a dining room, a kitchen and a toilet. On thefirst floor you will find a bathroom, two double rooms and a single room. The lodge also has free high-speed WiFi access, a flat-screen cable TV and foosball. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and a microwave. Bed linen and towels are provided.

The gîte is located 5 minutes walk from the center of Saint-Hubert, its basilica, its shops and restaurants but also 5 minutes from the hiking trails.

Saint-Hubert Welcome in Saint-Hubert in the afternoon and check-in at the lodge. Possibility to visit the village

Day 2-9

Saint-Hubert Even if hiking remains the best way to enjoy nature, you can choose your activities among the many possibilities offered by the region (Parc à Gibier, Fourneau Saint-Michel, Mudia, Bastogne War Museum,…). We will provide you with a hiking map of the area! Here are some possibilities for hiking
  • By mountain bike : Hurtebise (22 km), Forêt du roi Albert (14 km), La Masblette (13 km), Forêt de Saint-Michel (12 km), Les Fontaines (30 km), La Lhomme (25 km),…
  • On foot : Bilaude (20 km), Vesqueville (13,2 km), Bois de Renimont (10,5 km), Bois du Val de Poix (12 km),…
  • For the children: Marsoult (5 km), Etang du prieur (3,9km), Sentier des Nutons (1,8 km),…

Practical information

Home
day 1, late afternoon. The check-in at the gite is a self check-in. You will find the folder with all the information for the stay on the living room table.
Dispersion
The check-out must be done on the day of departure before 11:00 am.
Supervision
free walking, without a guide. You will receive different proposals for a loop hike in the region.
Hosting
Lodging in a private gite. You will have the whole house to yourself. No breakfast or evening meal included!
Access
possible by car (free parking for the duration of the stay just in front of the gite) or by public transport : Train (Poix-Saint-Hubert station) + Bus (TEC).
Dogs
Dogs are not normally allowed on this trip. Exception on demand!

The stay can be arranged at your convenience and departures are possible all year round. Please note: October 1st to December 31st is the hunting season. Some areas may therefore be inaccessible depending on the hunting schedule.

The gîte can accommodate up to 5 people and can be rented for one night or more (except for school vacations). Below are the prices for the 2022 season.
