A weekend of hiking to discover the most beautiful landscapes of the Ardennes
With this stay between Lesse and Semois, Europ’Aventure offers you a break from your daily routine, a two-day hiking break in one of the most beautiful regions of the Ardennes, between the rivers Lesse and Semois. Leaving Daverdisse, a small village nestled in the splendid Lesse valley, you follow the signposted Transardennaise trail to Porcheresse and Our, picturesque villages of old Ardennes houses, before continuing to your accommodation in Paliseul. The next day, you join the Semois valley to reach the heights of Bouillon. After enjoying the magnificent view over the valley, you descend to Bouillon, a ducal town with a medieval castle.
Entre Lesse et Semois is the ideal solution for a short weekend in the heart of nature: signposted trails (yellow/white), quality accommodation, luggage transport and information on the region. Everything is planned so that you can make the most of the region and its beauties.
Entre Lesse et Semois is a free walking tour – Duration varies from 2 to 3 days – Departure all year round depending on your wishes and possibilities.
Program
Day 1
Daverdisse
Reception in Daverdisse in the afternoon and handing over of the complete file. Evening meal included.
Day 2
Daverdisse – Paliseul (22 km; + 550 m)
This first stage between Daverdisse and Paliseul takes you from the magnificent Daverdisse valley through woods, forests and pastures to Paliseul. It’s not too strenuous, and only includes one decent climb out of Daverdisse. For the rest, it falls between contour lines 340 and 390 (meters of altitude). The itinerary also takes you to the small villages of Porcheresse and Our where a Michelin-starred restaurant is located.
Day 3
Paliseul – Bouillon (27 km; + 450 m)
After spending the night in Paliseul, you join the path that takes you to the hiking finish point. You’ll be hiking mainly in the woods, enjoying the peace and quiet that nature has to offer. You finish with a spectacular view over the Semois valley before arriving in the center of Bouillon via a steep path. Possibility to visit the town and the castle. You can choose to take the return trip when you arrive in the late afternoon or relax for an extra night in Bouillon!

Practical information
Home : day 1, in the late afternoon (the welcome point will be confirmed at the time of booking)
Hiking record delivery.
Dispersion : On the last day at the end of the stage, you will be taken back to the starting point (where your car is). Possibility of an extra night and a return in the morning after breakfast.
Supervision: unaccompanied hiking tour
Accommodation : **/***/**** hotels and *** guesthouses (transfer to accommodation may be arranged if there is no accommodation at the end of the stage).
Luggage : Your luggage will be transported between each stage of the tour by Europ’Aventure in the late morning or afternoon. We ask you to drop them off in the lobby of each accommodation the morning before you set off on your hike, and to bring only one piece of luggage weighing no more than 15 kg, beyond which the driver may refuse to carry it. Please bring a small backpack to carry your personal belongings for the day.
Dogs: Dogs are not allowed on this route.
Access : by car (free parking for the duration of the stay)

The stay “Between Lesse and Semois” can be organized at your best convenience and departures are possible all year round. Please note: from 1 October to 31 December, the itinerary is likely to be deviated in some places due to the hunting season. You will always be warned!
