Europ’Aventure offers you two specific hiking routes organized in the country of Bastogne; the first is a two-daybike ride and the second is the discovery of the region by Jeep Willys. Our hikes allow you to combine two of the most beautiful activities in the Ardennes: the discovery of wild nature and the surrounding forests with a dive into history thanks to the visit of the Bastogne region. You will also have the opportunity to discover various sites and museums dedicated to the Battle of the Bulge.

Freedom Trail – La voie de la liberté
It was taken in 1944 by the3rd American army to liberate France, Luxembourg and Belgium from German domination. It starts in Saint-Mère-Eglise in Normandy and ends in Bastogne, more precisely at the emblematic place of Mardasson. In commemoration of this event, cycling tours are organised every year along the route of this historic path.

The Mardasson Memorial
“A must-see place of remembrance of the end of the Second World War! »
Symbol of the Battle of the Bulge, the Mardasson Memorial is a place of remembrance in honour of the American soldiers who fell on Belgian territory during the Second World War. Also a symbol of the enduring friendship of the Belgian and American peoples, this monument is shaped like a five-pointed star engraved with the history of the battle.
