In a few words
Kythnos is a quiet and beautiful island in the Cycladic group of of Greek islands in the west of the Aegean Sea. It is only two hours by ferry from the port of Lavrio, which is near to the Athens International airport.
Despite its proximity to Athens, Kythnos retains its authentic traditions as well as boasting many sandy beaches. It remains off the main tourist routes.
Little-known and undeveloped for mass tourism, Kythnos offers instead numerous places to discover, including:
- an important ancient city excavation
- the ruins of a Byzantine castle on a spectacular headland
- a hot springs spa
- culture such as traditional music and dance
In addition, Kythnos has one of the largest caves in Greece. During your stay you can enjoy the local cuisine, such as cheese, fish, and taste the local wine.
